Introduction

By creating an account or using any part of our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any additional guidelines or policies we publish. If you do not agree, please stop using our Services.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Eligibility

To use JotLink, you must be of legal age to enter into a binding agreement in your country or region of residence. In most jurisdictions this means you must be at least 18 years old. If you are under the applicable age of majority, you may only use JotLink with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

By using the Services, you represent and warrant that:

• You meet the minimum age requirement described above
• You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
• You are not located in, or a national of, a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or sanctions list
• You have not been previously banned from using JotLink's Services

JotLink reserves the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or remove content at its sole discretion if eligibility requirements are not met.

Your Account

To access most features of JotLink you will need to register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep this information up to date at all times.

To manage your account settings, navigate to the Account tab within the app. To permanently delete your account, go to Account → Profile Settings → Delete Account. Please note that account deletion is irreversible and may result in loss of your JotLink Credits and call history.

JotLink accounts are personal and non-transferable. You may not sell, trade, or transfer your account to another person.

Our Services

JotLink provides an integrated communication platform. Here is how each component works:

Emergency services notice: JotLink is not a substitute for traditional telephone service and cannot be used to call emergency services (such as 911, 112, or 999) in most regions. Always maintain an alternative means of contacting emergency services.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Services at any time, with or without notice. Where possible, we will provide advance notice of significant changes.

If you use someone else's phone number to make calls through JotLink, we reserve the right to disable your access to calling features immediately and without notice.

Payments & Credits

Some features of JotLink require payment, including calls to non-JotLink phone numbers and certain calling plans. All pricing is displayed to you before a transaction is completed.

Calling plans. JotLink offers subscription calling plans that provide discounted rates. All plans are subject to our Fair Usage Policy. Exceeding fair usage limits may result in additional charges or temporary suspension of plan benefits.

Refunds. Most purchases, including JotLink Credits and calling plans, are final and non-refundable. We may issue refunds at our discretion in cases of billing errors, service outages, or other exceptional circumstances. To request a refund, contact our support team at [email protected] within 30 days of the transaction.

Third-party payment providers. If you purchase Credits or plans through a third-party payment provider (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play), the provider's payment terms and refund policies also apply. JotLink has no control over third-party billing decisions.

All prices are shown exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise. Applicable taxes are added at checkout based on your location.

Content & Intellectual Property

Your content. You retain ownership of any content you create, upload, or share through JotLink ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant JotLink a limited, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to store, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Services to you.

When you delete content from JotLink, this license terminates, but copies may persist in our backup systems for a limited time before being permanently removed.

JotLink's intellectual property. All rights, title, and interest in the JotLink platform, including software, design, trademarks, logos, and documentation, are owned by JotLink LLC or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from our intellectual property without our express written permission.

Copyright complaints. If you believe that content on JotLink infringes your copyright, please send a notice to [email protected] including: a description of the copyrighted work, the URL where the infringing content appears, your contact information, and a statement of good faith belief. We will investigate all legitimate complaints and take appropriate action.

Content standards. Any content you share must comply with applicable laws and must not be defamatory, obscene, threatening, or infringing of any third party's rights. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these standards without notice.

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use JotLink's Services to:

• Send spam, unsolicited bulk messages, or automated communications without recipient consent
• Harass, bully, intimidate, or threaten other users
• Distribute malware, viruses, or any code designed to damage systems or data
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to JotLink's systems or other users' accounts
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely claim an affiliation with any person or entity
• Use another person's phone number or identity to make calls through the platform
• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights
• Resell or commercially exploit the Services without our written authorization
• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the platform using automated means
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services
• Share content that is unlawful, harmful, hateful, or violates the rights of others

We may monitor use of the Services to detect and prevent prohibited conduct. This does not create an obligation on our part to monitor or act on all content.

Enforcement & Termination

JotLink reserves the right to investigate any suspected violation of these Terms. If we determine, in our sole discretion, that a violation has occurred, we may take any of the following actions:

• Issue a warning
• Temporarily suspend your account or specific features
• Permanently terminate your account
• Remove or restrict access to content
• Report activity to law enforcement or regulatory authorities

We may cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations and may disclose information about your account or activity where required by law or valid legal process.

You may terminate your account at any time via Account → Profile Settings → Delete Account. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of unused Credits unless required by applicable law.

Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property rights, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will continue to apply after your account is closed.

Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, JotLink disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We are not responsible for the content of messages sent or received through the platform by other users.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, JotLink's total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid to JotLink in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or USD $100, whichever is greater.

In no event shall JotLink be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for certain damages. In such jurisdictions, JotLink's liability will be limited to the extent permitted by law.

General Terms

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any supplemental policies, constitute the entire agreement between you and JotLink regarding the Services and supersede all prior agreements or understandings.

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. A waiver of any provision must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative of JotLink.

Governing law. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Delaware.

Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. JotLink may freely assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

No third-party beneficiaries. These Terms do not create any third-party beneficiary rights.

Force majeure. JotLink shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, or internet outages.
