How to start using your +380 number
Within 5 minutes you get a few emails from JotLink. You need only one of them: the email with a QR code. Follow these steps in this order.
Important: do not create an account in the app. Your account already exists: the form on this page created it. The QR code from the email signs you in. A new account made in the app is empty, with no number and no minutes.

Should I create an account in the app?
No. Your account is created by the form on this page, before payment. Install the app, then open the email with the QR code and tap or scan it: that signs you into the account you paid for. Registering separately inside the app creates a second, empty account with no number and no minutes on it.
How do I pay? Is it secure?
Payment runs through Stripe. You can pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never touch JotLink.
What will I receive after payment?
Several emails arrive within 5 minutes: the payment receipt, your number details and the setup email with a QR code. The QR code email is the one you need to start. Install the JotLink app first, then tap the QR code if the email is open on the device with the app, or scan it from another device.
I received several emails. Which one do I need?
All of them except one are informational: the payment receipt, your number details and the terms. To start using the number you need the email with a QR code. If the emails are not in your inbox, check Spam and Promotions.
How do I sign in to the app?
With the QR code from the email, there is no password. If the email is open on the device where the app is installed, tap the QR code and the app signs you in. If it is open on a computer or any other device without the app, scan the QR code with the device that has the app.
Can I buy more minutes without buying another number?
Yes. After buying the starter package, you can buy another 100 minutes for 3 USD at any time in the JotLink app under Account → Purchases. You do not need to buy another number. If your minutes run out early, buy another package right away: there is no need to wait 3 months.
How do I make calls with JotLink?
Open the JotLink app, choose a contact or dial a number, and call just as you would on a regular phone. Use your starter package minutes to call Ukrainian mobile and landline numbers.
Can I call other countries, not only Ukraine?
Yes, you can call any country in the world. The 100 minutes in the starter package are for calls to Ukraine only. Calls to other countries are paid from your balance: top it up in the JotLink app and dial any number.
Do I pay for incoming calls and SMS?
No. Incoming calls and SMS to your Ukrainian number are free. Your package minutes are for outgoing calls to Ukraine.
Can I send SMS from my +380 number?
Yes. Incoming SMS are free. Outgoing SMS are not part of the 100-minute package, which covers voice calls only. To send messages, top up your balance in the JotLink app: messages are paid from it.
Skype is gone. Can JotLink replace it for calls to Ukraine?
Yes. Skype stopped working in May 2025. JotLink covers the same job: calls from an app to Ukrainian mobiles and landlines, plus your own +380 number, so people in Ukraine can call you like any local Ukrainian number, and you pay nothing for incoming calls.
What number do people see when I call outside Ukraine?
By default, your Ukrainian +380 number: it shows on every call, in Ukraine and abroad. If you would rather show your own mobile number when calling outside Ukraine, register it in the JotLink app: after that, calls to other countries display your registered number, and calls to Ukraine keep showing the +380 one.
What does the 3-month validity period mean?
You have 3 months to use the 100 minutes in a package. Any unused minutes expire at the end of that period. If you use them up sooner, you can buy another package immediately.
What happens to my number after a year?
Your starter package pays for the number for 1 year. During that year, you only buy additional minutes as needed. When the number expires, you can renew it if you wish.
